There's a lot of bugs in Cyberpunk 2077 which are eerily reminiscent of those found in Bethesda-published games like Fallout 76 and Skyrim. Although development of Fallout: New Vegas was spearheaded by Obsidian Entertainment (a company which included former early Fallout game developers) it was still based on the engine Bethesda had used for Fallout 3, and it brought with it numerous issues and bugs both players and developers would struggle with. At launch, both Fallout: New Vegas and Cyberpunk 2077 were also riddled with bugs and glitches. Both games offer players the chance to experience a compelling main story where the main character is nearly killed and then goes on a quest for revenge, and both also feature numerous side quests, tangential content, and a variety of gameplay options which allows players to create a very specific type of character build on each playthrough.
CDPR's Cyberpunk 2077 sure feels a lot like Fallout: New Vegas, in ways which are both incredibly enjoyable and also endlessly frustrating.
